Thank you for visiting my electronic teaching portfolio.

As an instructor, I’ve been fortunate enough to teach First Year Writing Seminars, LitCore, Studies in Narrative, and American Literary History III. As you’ll see on my “Syllabi” page, each of these was vastly different in terms of scope and students.

As a scholar, I’m interested in twentieth and twenty-first century American literature and culture. I hold an M.A. in English from Boston College and a B.A. from Columbia University, where I majored in English and Comparative Literature. I spent time in motion picture production before returning to academics in 2008. I’m currently utilizing a fellowship to complete dissertation, which is titled “I Was Never An American: Immigrant Narratives in the Contemporary United States.”

No “about” page would be complete without mention of my role as proud wife as well as my best project to date, Jack the spunky toddler.
